Wild Factor was founded in 2012 by programmer Alexandre Lautié. Alexander has worked on nine commercial games over the years from retro pixel to next gen console games, including his time at Ubisoft where he helped create the development tools for Just Dance and Just Dance 2014. The story he tells about Wild Factor’s inception is he was eating alphabet soup and saw this message in his bowl: strt a gma cmpiny. “Close enough”, he said, and Wild Factor was born.

Machiavillain was born during a Ludum Dare game jam, shortly after seeing Cabin in the Woods.
Programmer Alexandre Lautié and his girlfriend, comic artist Zimra, kept things simple and silly, had a lot of fun and very little sleep, and the game (named “The Villain’s Rules”) got a rewarding enthusiastic reception.
The prototype got a french government grant from the CNC (attributed by a committee of video game professionnals) in 2014.
Writer John Bardinelli and game designers Matthew Weekes and Adrien Forestier joined the team who is currently working on the alpha.
The next step of this evil adventure will be a crowdfunding campaign.

Machiavillain is an evil mansion management and strategy indie game, in development for PC (Win, Mac, Linux), inspired by Dungeon Keeper, Prison Architect and all the horror movie clichés !

You play as a Horror Movie Overlord. Build your own manor, raise your monsters, set up your traps, and exterminate your victims. But to gain reputation you’ll have to slay by the rules… the horror movies rules ! so slaughter them when they’re alone, kill the virgin last, and never, ever hurt the dog !
